Client: True Blue Developments
Project:
Kawana Bay Hotel

We were commissioned by True Blue Developments to design the interiors of a new 5-star hotel being built in Grenada, in the Caribbean. The hotel was to be located up the Mourne Rouge, right next to the beautiful, two-mile long Grand Anse beach.

The beach is a short distance from the capital city of St George’s and is Grenada’s most popular main resort area. Consistently ranked as one of the best beaches in the world, Grand Anse is also the island’s main water sports centre. Here guests would be able to water-ski, parasail, kayak, or join a snorkel or dive tour in the fish-filled waters.

Our interior design work encompassed public areas like the lobby, bar and lounge, and the suites and bedrooms, banqueting room and spa. For each of these we undertook space planning, conceptual-isation, ‘look and feel’, fixtures, fittings and equipment design and selection, and design detailing and specification. The latter task enabled us to commission CGIs of the various elements, to be used in sales and marketing collateral.

Throughout the project we worked closely with the True Blue Development team, their architects and Kimpton Hotels, who had been signed up to operate the hotel, to create distinctive and luxurious interiors which reflected the location and international 5 star standards.
